Rosslyn MotetThis song was created from the patterns on the ceiling of Rosslyn chapel. Stuart Mitchell, a composer, recognized these patterns as Chladni patterns, or modes of resonnance and turned them into notes. These are the same phenomena (EDITED for grammar police) attributed to the the very basis of quantum physics, discrete modes or standing wave patterns sustaining everything at the atomic level (i.e. Heisenberg solving for the 3D energy levels of the hydrogen atom.) These patterns in mathematics are called eigenfunctions and the energy levels eigenvalues.

Have a listen to the beautiful choir of angels: The Rosslyn Motet

Lovely music, very interesting graphic. I'm saving it. Note: phenomenon = sing.; phenomena = plural.

ah, the dark visit to quantum void blog. step into the darkness, step into the void...did heisenberg step into it... an escape from the floor he dared not walk across for fear of falling through...very happy to see that grammarians and latin scholars are alive and well. our public schools need them. volunteer today. now, back to the graphics and the music ... well, let's not.

*Wince* Don't believe it was Heisenberg who went insane not being able to comprehend why he didn't fall through the floor if all the atoms were moving and mostly empty space. The simple answer is the electromagnetic force is many times stronger than gravity, so repulses any such nonsense. If you could back up your claims with a reference (as any good "journalist" should) it would be much obliged.
